CLASS DESCRIPTION

We are so excited to be able to bring you this in-person class! Please have an open mind as we are trying to keep everyone safe while creating a fun and positive experience for your little ones.

The class format will be very similar to other Cucu's classes you have attended in the past, but some of the activities will be modified to adapt to the physical distance requirements. We will still sing, dance and play while learning/practicing Spanish. Children will be introduced to basic concepts like animals, colors and numbers through the universal language of Music. Each session is fun, active and engaging.

A selection of Children Songs in Spanish guides the class from start to finish. Activities are related to the lyrics, in order to familiarize the children with the words and their meanings. Some of the songs encourage the children to dance.

Nilda uses puppets, musical instruments, and props to teach children basic vocabulary through action and interaction, rather than through translation.

The class will be 30 minutes long. Each family will bring their own blanket marking each participant's space, keeping a minimum of 3ft of physical distance in between families.

Vaccinated adults will no longer be required to wear a mask during the class. We will provide hand sanitizer and will be taking additional safety measures as explained below.

AGE GROUP

Mixed ages, 0 - 5 years old.

CLASS SIZE

In order to ensure physical distance, we only have space for ten (10) families. Due to local health regulations, only one adult can accompany each child.

SIBLINGS

Siblings can be in the same blanket, their registration will have a 50% discount.

MATERIALS

Due to local health regulations, each participant must bring their own class materials. Please bring with you:

- A couple of playsilks, scarves, or a small piece of fabric that can be used to follow along when we use playsilks during the "Autobús" song.

A NOTE FOR OUR STREAMING MEMBERS

Putting this type of event together takes additional time and resources. We are renting this space by the hour and are having a very small class size. For these reasons, we are unable to apply Streaming membership sessions to outdoor in-person events. Thanks for your support and understanding!
