  • How is Cucu's PlayHouse program different to other music classes?
Our program has an emphasis in exposing the children to the Spanish language through music and play. Children learn while having fun virtually or in-person in San Rafael, California. We also take the time to get to know our families and make everyone feel welcome :)
  • Who are these classes for?
These classes are ideal for parents who would like to introduce their children to bilingualism. According to recent studies, the ideal age to start exposing them to a second language is between 0 and 3 years of age. Doing so, stimulates their brain development and has numerous cognitive, social and cultural long term benefits. Cucu's PlayHouse program is also beneficial for parents who's first language is Spanish and would like to engage their children in Spanish enrichment activities.
  • Will learning a Second Language confuse my child?
Research shows that children who study a foreign language perform better in their native language than non-bilingual students, as measured on standardized tests. Other research has shown that children learning a second language start reading earlier, and the advantage increases the earlier they are exposed to the second language. In addition, bilingual children were better at identifying grammatically incorrect sentences than monolinguals.
  • What is your class size? (number of children per class)
The limit for our in-person classes is 12 children and for our Virtual classes, 25. Advance registration is highly recommended, especially for our Morning Classes, which tend to fill up.
